ABSTRACT. To control the risks involved in the development of a new product in the plumbing sector for health centres, a method based on design thinking and project management is developed. The purpose of this method is to integrate the needs of stakeholders while respecting the technical constraints related to the environment, by combining the rigour of a traditional project management structure with an agile method. The proposed approach has facilitated exchanges and enabled value-creating prototypes to be obtained. However, the compromise between rigour and flexibility remains to be found and will depend on the project carried out.
