Medicine acceptability is likely to have an impact on the safety and efficacy of medicinal products, especially in paediatric and geriatric populations. Evaluation of acceptability should be an integral part of pharmaceutical products development. According to the European Medicine Agency guidance it is deemed mandatory for paediatric preparations. Current knowledge about acceptability is still limited and there is no internationally agreed available method to assess it. A State of the art focusing on methods assessing the acceptability of medicines and data enhancement allows us to develop a methodology. It provides relevant standardized acceptability assessments and extracted knowledge on medicines\u2019 acceptability usable from the early stages of new medicines development.<\/p>\n<p>RESUME. L\u2019acceptabilit\u00e9 d\u2019un m\u00e9dicament a un impact sur son efficacit\u00e9 et sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9, notamment en p\u00e9diatrie et en g\u00e9riatrie. L\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019acceptabilit\u00e9 d\u2019un produit pharmaceutique doit \u00eatre une partie int\u00e9grante de son d\u00e9veloppement. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une exigence de l\u2019Agence Europ\u00e9enne du M\u00e9dicament pour les m\u00e9dicaments p\u00e9diatriques. Cependant les connaissances sur l\u2019acceptabilit\u00e9 restent limit\u00e9es et il n\u2019existe \u00e0 ce jour aucune m\u00e9thode d\u2019\u00e9valuation internationale standardis\u00e9e. Ce constat est \u00e0 l\u2019origine de ces travaux de recherche. Un \u00e9tat de l\u2019art portant sur les m\u00e9thodes d\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019acceptabilit\u00e9 et la valorisation de donn\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 et a permis de proposer une m\u00e9thodologie.
