ABSTRACT. In developing countries, the majority of urban investments are concentrated on the fight against precariousness by financing so-called « social » housing and by financing excessive sports facilities to promote fraternity among peoples. While the resulting actions are carried out in parallel, they all lead to the same failure: colossal investments that jeopardize the stability and development of States, both economically and socially. The STADY HOME concept aims to make these actions complementary and efficient. Its principle is based on the conversion of a stadium into a sustainable, self-sufficient and frugal urban village. This article defines the basic principles, the procedure for an existing stadium, and conceptual elements for a new stadium. The experimental model used is the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa (DRC).
